Hi Cowling !
As we have not been able to hold any public events for quite some time due to Covid restrictions a volunteer Committee has been set up to organise events for the Queens Platinum Jubilee long weekend.
This committee is made up of volunteers from the Village Hall, Family Fun Day and the Parish Council and has had an initial meeting to discuss possible events.
The plan at the moment is :
Thursday 2nd June
Lighting of the Jubilee Beacon – Pinnacle – late evening
Friday 3rd June
Jubilee Duck Race – Winkholme Bridge – early afternoon
Saturday 4th June
Jubilee Fun Day – Main Rec – all day and evening
Sunday 5th June
Free for organising your own street party
This is a combined effort to get events moving again for the village and volunteers would be welcomed.
